Adnan had another one today. I think a TV sitcom with Adnan, Xihao, Audrey M, and Jenna would be killer with ratings. Four bright people who ask/say some of the most ridiculous things.
Many have questioned the island names of the Caribbean test. Aside from the obvious, here is the key: 5 = Bahamas, 7 = Virgin Islands, 8 = Lesser Antilles, 9= Trinidad, 10 = Tobago, 11 = Netherlands Antilles. These are all areas where pirates roamed in the past on wooden ships with sails...just ask Adnan about Somali pirates.
In today's class, I mentioned Heaven's Gate, Jim Jones, and Family Guy. The Family Guy episode referenced in class today is titled "Chitty Chitty Death Bang."
Extra credit opportunity will be arrive this Thursday. Three words: ALL Mexican States

ReplyDeleteHarrison - the number key corresponds to the fill-in map handout we got in class which includes the Caribbean, along with Central America, Canada, and Mexico.
ReplyDeleteI just searched Jim Jones and Heaven's Gate on Youtube and watched a few videos. It really gave me the creeps, considering how one person can control such a large following, to the extent that they can cause a mass suicide. But can something really be called a religion if people are paying money to be part of it? It seems more like an elitist club. I guess it's a matter of opinion.
Look up "Tithe" and re-evaluate your question about money and religion.
