Winter Break Non-Break stuff. I know I promised no HW, but I also know many of you NEED some easy "points" to off-set some low test scores. SO, EVERYONE MUST WATCH THE VIDEO BELOW! During playback, keep a stream-of-consciousness journal going in a document. When finished, copy and past your notes into a box on the spreadhseet I'll link to later. I'll update more later...

Gift-Giving
I gave everyone a present today. Some of you did not like the present and decided to give me a crappy present in return. So, I am going to offer anyon and everyone a chance to give me a better present upon your return from winter break. If you give me a much better gift before or after school on Tuesday Jan 5, I will erase your recent gift to me. I hope you all understand.
I will also be giving everyone a present tomorrow (well, the link to a present). You will have to watch a TED video and write a response, posted to the Moodle. Check back then. For those of you needing political forum make-up and some of you who may want EC, check back next Monday for links and possibilities that may enlighten (you might say ruin) your winter break experience. And everyone should play around with Wave and try to come up with ways we could use it in class as some form of learning and assessment tool.

Cold, Snow, and Test oh my!
Unit IVb Exam (Chapters 13 & 15) is made. 50 questions (48 MC, 2 T/F). You CAN write on your booklet, but you still have to use the clickers. NO NOTES! I expect solid scores. If you read the chapters (past tense) and paid attention in class, there is no reason to get a low score. We did some Wave stuff today, but now I also need you to get your EBSCO account set up. Go here and see if you can get in.

Hangin' 10! Or maybe only 5.
I hope everyone has a Wave account - plese take a little time (if you can) and play around. We'll spend a little time getting everyone on board tomorrow, split you into groups, start waving as a class, as an AP group (all 100 of you) and even subgroups (of 5-10 people). But here's the catch - we need to know your google account email invite. Come prepared. KAthleen wanted to see a picture of the Google Phone. Click on it for an article about it.

Decide to do Right
I updated the Google Calendar to reflect this final week before break. You must have a Wave account set up by Wednesday - we're in Lab 40 that day. I finished the Ch 13 slideshow today and started Ch 15. YOu can grab the Ch 13 slides from the Moodle, and check it for Ch 15 help through tomorrow.
I also suggest you familiarize yourself with TED since you will have to watch one of the videos over break and write a response on your Moodle Blog. We watched one in class:
I like how they are short, to the point, and make you think. If you did not attend enough (or any) of the political forums, you will have to watch more and write a response to each over break. I will update you and provide specifics on the Moodle.
